Google Chrome Quarterly Update: End of 2022 Edition
The Google Chrome teams had one hell of a year, rolling out a ton of new updates focusing on security, zero days, admin panel administration, new features and functionality, and more. We had hoped to do more of these events this past year and will be working hard to host them according to schedule in the coming year.
Code in Google Docs, Improved Call Performance on Voice, Client Side Encryption for Gmail Beta S2E51
Happy Hannukah and Happy Holidays! One last hurrah for the year from Google this week with 6 Published releases and 3 silent ones. We will be doing a show next week to wrap up the year so stay tuned!
Follow along with collaborators in Slides, Share files in Meet Chat, Drop-down Chips in Sheets and more S2E50
Welcome to Episode 50! Nearing the end of the year here, Google pushed out several published and silent releases so we have a full show this week. Have a great week and enjoy the show!
Cloud Search API, Improved Meet quality on virtual machines, & a special surprise, stay tuned! S2E49
Google is wrapping up the year with a slower pace and a handful of new updates. This week's updates focus on Cloud search Query API and improving meeting quality when joining on virtual machines. We also cover new ChromeOS admin dashboard management controls, and how to join the alpha program.
Stay tuned to the second half of the show for a special unboxing of the brand new Framework repairable laptop Chromebook Edition! Learn more at https://frame.work (this is not a sponsored post, I just love the approach. We would be super happy if they did Sponsor us though!)
Pivot! Resize your Pivot Table editor in Sheets, share Editors files in Meet chat, and more S2E48
Super short show this week with only 3 silent updates and zero published releases. This has never happened in the past 101 episodes we have done, but it was bound to happen eventually.
Enjoy!
S2E47: Schedule DND on Chat, Consolidated controls for Takeout, new Drive Sharing Suggestions
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Steve and I had a great time chatting on this weeks episode before we hit the updates so it took a little longer than usual. Crazy times in the tech and social media worlds right now, anyone want to venture a guess how long it will be until Google gives social media another shot??
S2E46: Gmail Original View is gone, long live the Integrated view!
Google finally slowed down on the release cadence to give everyone a breather so you get a short episode this week!
I want to give a shoutout to our sister show SaaS Showdown available everywhere you can find Workspace Recap, and is all about managing SaaS at your organization while staying sane. Their latest episode is debating, who owns that app, Marketing or IT? Check out SaaS Showdown to find out the answer!
S2E45: Migrate your legacy Sites already! Timeline view on Sheets and more

S2E44: Our 100th Episode! ππ₯³π― 9 Updates and 6 news items this week
This week we are continuing with adding visual context from any videos, gifs, and screenshots of the releases to make it easier for you to understand the updates and bring you the best possible episode of Workspace Recap. This episode is much tighter than last week as I work to improve and tweak my editing style. It did take me 4 hours to edit and it's over 20GB but it's worth it!
S2E43: The Google Next 2022 Overflow Week
π Officially adding screenshots, gifs, and videos to our episodes! Starting today, I am including visual elements from the updates and news we discuss on this show so you have a better idea of what we are referring to without having to consult the show notes. This took me all day to edit as it's the first time I have attempted to include all this in a show, and on top of that it is a massive episode, so I am releasing it a bit later than usual. As I continue improving my editing, my production time will decrease and I will be able to get these out earlier again. The final file is just shy of 30Gb, I hope you enjoy it! - Jesse
S2E42: Google Next 22: Everything announced for Google Workspace
Google pulled out all the stops for their yearly cloud conference, and even though we could not attend in person, there was a massive amount of content and announcements recorded and available on demand. This episode focuses on all the Google Workspace updates announced at Google Next 22.

Shana Tova to all my fellow Jewish listeners out there, and happy early Google Next to everyone else. As mentioned, next week's release schedule will be a bit later thanks to me being offline for the holiday and missing the whole first day of Next, hopefully, they won't announce all the new Workspace stuff at once.
