S2E18: Enhanced menus in Docs, Updated Storage Management tools in Admin Console, Warning banners alert users of suspicious Editors files on web, and more

Thank you to our first-ever sponsor, CubeBackup!

I want to tell you about a really interesting tool that might help with Gsuite legacy free account migrations as well as backing up paid accounts. They are a sponsor, but it’s actually a very helpful option so don’t jump ahead. CubeBackup backs up your Google Workspace accounts to your local or cloud storage such as a NAS, AWS S3 bucket, or Google Cloud Storage, and works on every Google Workspace edition including GSuite Legacy Free.

CubeBackup is even able to back up your Workspace account from one domain and migrate it to another domain. This can be a game-changer in mergers and for anyone with a Legacy Free domain and a different paid domain who wants to combine them.

It’s easy to use, affordable, and you are completely in control of your data since it runs on your server locally or in the cloud. CubeBackup is used by over 1000 companies in over 50 countries around the world, runs on Linux/Windows/ and Docker, are GDPR Compliant, and it is super easy to use.

Intro

I had a great time at the Google Events in LA and Irvine, the LA office is in the old Spruce Goose hanger, the former home to Howard Hughes wooden aircraft that was an engineering marvel, except for the part where it only flew once. It was 6 times larger than any aircraft built at the time in 1947 with a hanger just as large. They literally built a building inside the hanger, incorporating all the style and history, and that is the Google LA Office. I will have to put my photos together in a blog post to show off to all of you so stay tuned there.

Also…. I may have had a conversation or two about doing a Google Workspace Focused event at the Spruce Goose office in LA, so stay tuned for more on that as it evolves.
